Honda and Wieden + Kennedy London have come up with an interactive dual-story video for the Civic and it’s sportier version, the Civic Type R. Titled “The Other Side”, the film tells the tale of an ordinary guy who leads an intriguing double life. The original video featuring the Civic switches to a parallel storyline featuring the Type R when you press and hold ‘R’ on the keyboard. Directed by Daniel Wolfe, the films have been meticulously edited to sync seamlessly with each other. This is interactive advertising/filmmaking at its best. Check it out below.

Murat interactive comic – Motiv.

Czech Republic-based independent collective Motiv has produced a short interactive comic.

Titled ‘Murat’, the interactive comic offers both audio and visual effects for readers. They are also able to click on a particular scene in the comic to watch the characters come to life through animation.

The team behind Motiv has gone beyond conventional comic reading methods to provide the reader with a more hands-on experience. A page of the comic was even presented as a jigsaw puzzle, letting readers ‘piece’ the story on their own.

Oreo Trending Vending Lounge – Oreo.

At this year’s SXSW (South by Southwest) festival; an annual music, film and interactive conference held in Austin, Texas, Oreo unveiled its ‘Oreo Trending Vending Lounge’, where attendees can go to get “deliciously hyper-personalized and customized snacks based on real-time data collection”.
In a tie-up with Twitter, two custom-made vending machines, created by technology design firm and innovation lab MAYA Design, allow people to choose from twelve colors and flavors that are trending at the moment.
The custom-made cookies are then created with a special 3D printer and delivered in less than 2 minutes.

Interactive concept table – Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut has teamed up with Chaotic Moon Studios to create an interactive touchscreen table that lets customers visualize and customize their own pies.
Diners can select a pizza size and choose their sauce, cheese and toppings, as well as any side orders. After ordering, they can even play built-in games on the table while waiting.
According to the pizza chain, the touchscreen table could be “the future of the Pizza Hut dine-in ordering experience.”

But how can you turn little space into more?
Like this, for example:
3 lines.
3 colours.
3 bulbs.
This is how you turn 9 m² into 27 m².
And 1 billboard into more than just 1 billboard.

This is how it works:
If the billboard is illuminated by green lamps, only the line printed in magenta is readable.
Blue-purple light makes yellow visible.
Red light brings blue to the surface.

Hair-Raising Subway Ad Blows – Apotek.

A clever outdoor ad from Sweden uses a bit of technology to transcend the limits of the medium.

Apotek, a haircare brand, outfitted subway platform ads in Stockholm with ultra-sonic sensors that discerned when a train was coming. The ad featured a model with a lush mane, and when the train came, her hair flapped in the wind and she struggled to keep it in place.
